Curriculum
RoyalCourt Private School as a citadel of learning is poised towards achieving excellence in all her endeavours, especially in academics. In a bid to expose our students to the best contemporary teaching and learning practices we adopt a hybrid curriculum which is a fusion of the Nigerian and British Curricula.
At RoyalCourt Private School we prepare our students for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), conducted by the National Examination Council (NECO) as well as the Checkpoint Examinations conducted by Cambridge assessment International Examination (CAIE). To this end, our team of seasoned and dynamic educators prepare students in all subjects specified by the Federal Ministry of Education; as contained in the syllabus of NECO (English Language, Mathematics, Basic Science and Technology, Prevocational Studies, National Values, Religious Studies, Business Studies, Vocational Studies, French and Nigerian Language: Ibo). Our esteemed educators are equally adept to preparing our students according to the curriculum of the Cambridge assessment International Examination (CAIE) Checkpoint Examination wherein English Studies, Mathematics and Science are simplified to aid the students understanding, preparations and success in the examinations at the end.
Similarly, we are geared towards replicating similar quality education at our Senior School level in preparing the senior students for Senior School Certificate Examination conducted by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and the National Examination Council (NECO). In a related development our students would be thoroughly groomed for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) conducted by Cambridge Assessment International Examination (CAIE).
At RoyalCourt Private School, we adopt multiple teaching and learning styles and techniques which carter to all domains of learning tailored towards meeting the unique learning abilities and prospects of individual student. The use of modern learning gadgets such as educational videos and projected learning materials on interactive smart boards makes teaching and learning seamless and fun.

As a residential school, we offer extensive and varied range of Co-curricular activities.
Sports
We are not oblivious that Sports play a vital role in the development of young kids and indeed adults. Each student is given enough time and support to relish sports. We help them excel through the instrument of sports we build in them and develop their innate talents. Our aim is that all students reach their potential within their chosen sports and excel.
With an Olympic sized football pitch, five-aside football turf, a volleyball, basketball, and badminton courts with excellent indoor activities for more traditional and individual sports such as chess, scrabble, monopoly, and Ping-Pong pool, RCPS offers its students the best sporting infrastructure available. As a boarder, sports is compulsory (except on rare medical cases). The students are allowed any sport of their choice as provided by the school and at a stipulated time. Students take part in scheduled sports three times a week usually on Saturdays.
Our students are exposed to AEROBIC EXERCISES in the GYM every Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays to keep fit under the guidance of a professional. The gym is equipped with world class facilities.
On Saturdays the students take competitive CYCLING (BICYCLE RIDING) in such a way that the cycling tutor assists the Students to excel. Plans have reached advance stage to introduce other sports like gulf, squash, and the likes.
Clubs
Club activities help us to develop our students’ character and skills that will benefit them in school, career and life. The students select their clubs based on their passion and interest. At the beginning of each Academic Year, they make their choices depending on their interest. Thus, each student is encouraged to participate in one or more of the clubs which include:
- Jets Club
- Home Makers Club.
- Public Speakers / Writers Club
- Mathematics Club
- Integrity Club
At the end of every academic session, there is a Club Fair where the students exhibit the skills and talents they acquired or developed in the course of the session.
Music
There is an array of opportunities in music for students to enjoy at RCPS. Students are also encouraged to join the school’s orchestra choir that practice regularly. Concerts, recitals and musicals take place regularly throughout the year thereby showcasing the talents of the students.

Admission Process
Forms are available for purchase at Royalcourt Private School campus, Km 4, East/West Road by Lebavics Oil Filling Station.
Cost of form is ₦15,000 naira only.

Admission Entrance Examination
Students seeking admission into RoyalCourt Private School are required to sit for the standard entrance examination consisting of English, Mathematics, Quantitative reasoning and General studies. After the examination, all papers are carefully marked and the successful candidates are contacted through their parents email address.
Examination Centre

Scholarship Award
RoyalCourt Private School holds her Scholarship entrance examination for new intakes every Academic Year. The candidate who achieves the highest score is awarded a scholarship.
